Durham Tees Valley flights to take off

Eastern Airways' new flights between Southampton and Durham Tees Valley airports, which launch on tomorrow, have been welcomed by business leaders in the region. The new twice daily weekday service is aimed at business travellers and timings enable day return trips to north east England.
Sally Lynskey, chief executive of Business Southampton, said: ‘Business people from the Southampton region can now travel to the Tees Valley area and back comfortably within a day. This broadens the communications to and from the city and underlines the important role that Southampton Airport plays in the prosperity of the region.’
The weekday flights will depart from Southampton at 09:10 and 19:20, arriving in Durham Tees Valley at 10:55 and 21:05. Services leave Durham Tees Valley at 06:45 and 16:55, landing in Southampton at 08:40 and 18:50.
