Airport to get £7m upgrade

Southampton Airport is to benefit from an investment of £7 million over the next year. BAA said that the financial injection will improve the travel experience for the almost two million people who use the the south coast airport every year.
New restaurant and coffee shop facilities built, with the first outlets to be unveiled before the end of the year and more scheduled before next summer. A new footbridge will be installed, making access easier for rail passengers. New air conditioning units will be installed and the terminal's roof glazing replaced to create a brighter space.
