Airport staff 'most courteous in Europe'

Southampton Airport has been named Airports Council International (ACI) top airport in Europe for staff courtesy. The award was given following a survey of over 200,000 passengers worldwide, covering all aspects of the airport experience from the check-in desk to the departure gate.
Over 100 airports around the world were featured in quarterly surveys for the awards, which also saw Southampton named the second best airport overall in Europe after Zurich. Seoul Incheon in South Korea, Singapore Changi and Hong Kong International were the top 3 airports worldwide in the ACI awards, representing the fourth year in a row that the 3 best airports were in the Asia-Pacific region.
Kevin Brown, managing director of Southampton Airport, said: 'We place great emphasis on providing friendly service and a quick and easy experience for passengers. We refer to this as ‘breeze through’ and it is certainly popular with passengers travelling throughout Europe.'
