Flybe announce Southampton Airport - Amsterdam route

Low-cost regional airline Flybe has announced a new route between Southampton Airport and Amsterdam, and has promised to beat competitors' fares on the route by up to 50 percent. The news of the new route comes a week after the airline announced flights from Southampton to German destinations Hanover and Dusseldorf.
The twice-daily route, flying on Saturdays and Sundays, will begin on September 11. Seats will cost from £24.99 one-way, including taxes and charges.
Flybe's chief commercial officer, Mike Rutter, said the company's intention to expand across Europe was underlined by the new Amsterdam route. He said that Flybe tickets cost up to 50 percent less than Scotairways and 25 percent less than bmi.
