Rock royalty pays flying visit
22.12.10
Some of the biggest names in rock were at Southampton Airport yesterday, after a private jet was diverted to the airport due to the weather, the Daily Echo reports. U2, including lead singer Bono, and British band Muse saw their flight from Dubai to Dublin redirected to Southampton because snow in the Irish capital had closed the airport.
U2 have just finished the Australian leg of their 360 World Tour, whilst Muse have also been playing Down Under on their Resistance tour. The private jet spent 90 minutes at Southampton Airport, before taking off for Shannon Airport, on Ireland's west coast.
