Flybe launch three new Southampton - France routes

Budget airline Flybe has launched 3 new routes to France from Southampton Airport this week. The new 3-times-weekly services to Angers, Avignon and Cherbourg will increase the number of UK and European routes from Flybe from Southampton to 26.
The Southampton Airport to Angers route began on Tuesday, with fares from £29.99 one-way, including taxes and charges. The route from Southampton to Cherbourg began yesterday and tickets are from £21.99 one-way, inclusive of taxes and charges. The Southampton to Avignon connection will begin today and will cost from £49.99 one-way, again including taxes and charges.
Flybe's chief commercial officer, Mike Rutter, said the new routes demonstrate the company's commitment to bringing greater travel options to regional airports. 'Unlike other low cost airlines, we're committed to our regional bases and we aim to make European travel less London-centric and more convenient for travellers across the whole of the UK,' he said.
