Southampton Airport is on the short list for the best UK regional airport at the British Travel Awards, designed to recognise top travel companies as chosen by consumers. It is calling on passengers to vote for it as it attempts to take home the award.
Jan Halliday, head of communications at Southampton Airport, said: 'We are thrilled to be nominated for this prestigious award. 2010 has been a very difficult year for the aviation industry, but we are bucking the national trend by reporting growth. We would love to be recognised as the best UK regional airport too.'
Passengers can vote by visiting the British Travel Awards website before September 30. Those who register to vote will also be entered into a free prize draw.
