Flybe renew Aviance contract

A deal securing 145 jobs at Southampton Airport has been signed between ground handling agent Aviance and Flybe. Aviance described the 3 year deal as ‘vital’ to ‘securing its position’ at the airport.
The contract renewal at Southampton is part of a multi-location deal across the UK worth £18m. Aviance and Flybe have been working together at Southampton Airport for 6 years, with Aviance providing everything from passenger check-in to aircraft de-icing services.
Gay Roberts, Aviance manager at Southampton Airport said: ‘Flybe accounts for the majority of our business here, so there was a lot resting on this. It is excellent news for our staff and a testament to their hard work and commitment.'
